Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Stellarcast Pvt Ltd ("Stellarcast", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you visit stellarcast.ai, interact with our forms, or use the Stellarcast app. We keep it short because we collect little.
Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus privacy-preserving analytics:
- Audit / early-access form. If you request a free audit, we collect the details you submit: your name, work email, company or agency name, and optionally your brand domain and phone number, along with whether you identify as a brand or agency.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe from a blog post, we collect your email address and a note of which page you subscribed from.
- Analytics. We use two measurement tools on this site. Our own first-party engagement tracker is cookieless, records only aggregate page behaviour such as scroll depth and time on page, stores no personal data, and respects your browser's Do Not Track setting. Google Analytics 4 does set cookies (for example
_ga) and is provided by Google, which may use the data in line with its own policies; it tells us which pages and channels bring visitors here, and records when someone clicks a call-to-action or completes the audit or newsletter form, so we can see which pages and prompts actually lead somewhere. Together they give us aggregate figures like page views, referring sources and engagement.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal information.
How we use it
- To respond to your audit request and follow up about early access.
- To send you the occasional newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
Google user data
This section is about Google accounts you choose to connect inside the Stellarcast app. It is separate from the Google Analytics we run on this website, which is described under Analytics above.
If you connect Google Analytics or Google Search Console in the app, you grant Stellarcast two read-only permissions. We use them for one purpose: to show you whether the changes you make to your website affect real visitors, not only whether AI assistants mention you.
What we read
- Google Analytics (
analytics.readonly). We list the Analytics properties your account administers, so you can choose which one matches the website you are measuring, and we store only the identifier and name of the one you pick. We then read aggregate report rows for it: counts of sessions and conversions grouped by channel and date. - Search Console (
webmasters.readonly). We list the sites you have verified so you can choose one, and read aggregate search performance rows for it.
What we never do
- We never write. Both permissions are read-only. We do not change your Analytics or Search Console settings, create or alter properties, submit sitemaps, or request indexing.
- We do not read individual visitors. We request aggregate rows only. We do not request or store user-level or event-level records, and we never receive the identity of anyone who visited your site.
- We touch no other Google service. No Gmail, Drive, Calendar or Contacts. The two permissions above are the only ones we ask for.
- We do not use your Google data to train AI models, ours or anyone else's, and we do not use it for advertising.
How to disconnect
Either works, and you can do it at any time:
- In the Stellarcast app, open Connections and disconnect Google. This erases the stored credentials.
- In your Google Account, open Third-party apps with account access and remove Stellarcast. Google invalidates our access immediately.
Revoking through Google does not remove figures we have already read. Use the in-app disconnect, or delete your account, if you want those gone too.
Limited Use
Stellarcast's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where it is stored
Form submissions are stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect it. We retain your information for as long as needed to serve the purposes above, and we will delete it on request.
App data, including anything we read from a connected account, is stored on Google Cloud in Europe. Connection credentials are held in a dedicated secret store, never in our application database, which holds only an opaque reference to them. Credentials are erased when you disconnect or delete your account. Aggregate figures we have already read are kept for the life of your account, because a measurement of what changed after a fix is only useful if the earlier reading survives; deleting your account deletes them.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site (for example, our hosting and email providers), and only as needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.
- Access or delete the information you have given us by emailing hello@stellarcast.ai.
- Disconnect Google, Slack or Shopify at any time from Connections in the app, which erases the stored credentials.
- Opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser. Our own first-party tracker remains cookieless, and it stops collecting entirely if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Google Analytics does not act on Do Not Track, so opting out of it needs the add-on or cookie blocking above rather than that browser setting.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
