Otterly.AI alternatives: AI visibility tools, priced and compared
Otterly.AI is the lowest-cost mainstream tracker and a sensible first tool. Teams outgrow it when add-ons pile up, or when they need fixes shipped and results proven.
Otterly.AI earned its place by making AI visibility tracking cheap to start. The Lite plan is $29 a month, or $25 on annual billing, and the 14-day trial needs no card. For a team asking a first question, whether AI engines mention the brand at all, that is hard to argue with. The questions that come next are harder: which engines matter beyond the four in the base plan, what to change on your site, and whether the change worked. This guide groups the alternatives by the reason you'd switch. Every fact comes from each vendor's own pages, checked on 26 September 2026, with Semrush, AthenaHQ, Ahrefs, Rankscale, Scrunch and Profound re-checked on 17 October 2026.
Our bias, stated up front: Stellarcast is our product, and it is one of the options below. We've kept every other entry to what its own site says. If you are weighing the enterprise end of the market too, our Profound alternatives guide covers it from that side.
Stellarcast checks Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot daily on every plan from $39 a month, with Gemini and AI Mode in the plan price rather than sold as add-ons. From $89 it drafts fixes and publishes the ones you approve to WordPress, and from $249 it labels every lift claim MEASURED, LIKELY or TOO-EARLY.
Why teams look beyond Otterly.AI
- Engine add-ons. Lite includes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Gemini and Google AI Mode cost $9 to $149 a month extra, and Claude $29 to $439, so covering the engines your buyers use can cost well past the headline $29.
- Monitoring, not fixing. Otterly gives audits, recommendations and briefs; publishing the change is on you. For a lean team, the gap between knowing and doing is where most of the work sits.
- Proof. Trends show movement, not whether your change caused it. If you report to a CFO or a client, a rising line is not the same as a result you can attribute.

If you want fixes shipped and the lift proven: Stellarcast
Stellarcast is built around a loop: monitor, diagnose, execute, prove. Every paid plan checks Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot daily, so Gemini and Google AI Mode, which Otterly sells as add-ons, are part of the $39 Lite plan. Diagnosis turns those results into specific gaps: a buyer question where a competitor is named and you are not.
From the $89 Starter plan, Stellarcast drafts a fix for each gap. Nothing publishes until you approve it, every approval is recorded with the change it made, and approved fixes go live on WordPress. From Growth ($249), every lift claim sits in a ledger labeled MEASURED, LIKELY or TOO-EARLY, so you never report a number you can't defend. Each market is measured with native-language prompts, and pricing is public. See the plans.
Where Otterly is the better fit: if four engines cover your buyers and $29 is the budget, Otterly costs less than our Lite plan, and its trial needs no card.
If budget is the only constraint: Rankscale
Rankscale's Essentials plan is $17 a month billed yearly only ($20 list; Pro is $99 monthly), below Otterly's Lite plan, and covers 21 engines on every plan. The trade-off is that engines consume credits at different rates, so the engines you pick shape how far a month goes. Like Otterly, it is a tracker first and does not publish fixes to your site. If the add-on bill is your reason for leaving rather than the lack of fixes, Rankscale is the closest like-for-like move.
If you want focused competitive monitoring: Peec AI
Peec's Starter plan is $95 a month, less on annual billing, and lets you pick three engines from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI, with extra models sold individually. Its strength is analytics-first monitoring with strong agency packaging: agency plans include unlimited client workspaces and free 7-day pitch projects. It does not publish changes to a CMS itself, and Starter covers one country. Choose it over Otterly if competitive analytics and agency workflow matter more than the lowest price.
If you already pay for an SEO or marketing suite: Semrush, Ahrefs or HubSpot
Semrush now sells its AI Visibility Toolkit inside its plans, from $139 a month, with the $199 Starter plan adding 50 tracked prompts a day across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google Search, so Gemini comes with the base price and Google's AI surfaces through its prompt database. The standalone $99 per-domain toolkit we listed on 26 September no longer appears on its pricing page as of 17 October 2026. Ahrefs Brand Radar combines a large pre-built index of AI answers (the AI Visibility Index from $199 a month; custom prompt packages from $50 a month, or $699 for all models) with custom prompts on its paid plans, from $129 a month with 5 custom prompts. HubSpot AEO offers low-cost tracking inside HubSpot from $50 a month across three engines.
Each is strongest when you want AI visibility next to data your team already uses. Semrush and Ahrefs don't describe publishing fixes, so like Otterly, the change is still yours to make.
If you want actions on a Shopify or Webflow site: AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ has a free Essential tier and a $295 Starter plan tracking 11 engines, and its plans page lists on-page and off-page actions with Shopify and Webflow integrations (the eight-CMS list we saw on 26 September no longer appears there as of 17 October 2026). That reaches Shopify and Webflow sites where Stellarcast sends drafts to WordPress. Its Starter plan covers a single market, and multiple countries are an Enterprise feature. Choose it if your site runs on Shopify or Webflow and you want the tool to act there.
If you want AI agents to see an optimized site: Scrunch
Scrunch Core is $250 a month for 125 prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot. Its distinctive idea, on Enterprise, is serving an AI-optimized copy of your site to AI agents at the edge without changing the site people see. That is a different bet from publishing fixes: instead of changing your pages, it changes what agents are served. Choose it if that edge approach is what you are after and the Enterprise tier fits your budget.
If you are outgrowing Otterly on scale: Profound
At the other end of the market, Profound lists 30+ languages and tracks up to nine engines on Enterprise, with log-level crawler analytics and enterprise security. Its brand plan is custom-priced after a free 7-day trial, and its Agents draft content, stop for approval and publish to ten CMSs. It is sales-led rather than self-serve, so it suits a team whose reason for leaving Otterly is size rather than features. Our Profound alternatives guide covers it in depth.
The question to ask any tool that drafts and publishes: does the pipeline start from the prompts you are losing, and can it show afterwards whether a published change moved anything? Drafting and publishing are the easy half.
